The Celebration of Scholarship and Creative Activity is an annual event that gives UW Oshkosh students an opportunity to showcase their research or creative activities in an exhibition or presentation setting. Graduate and undergraduate students enrolled at UW Oshkosh convene in Reeve Union to celebrate the great work they are pursuing in laboratories, archives, and the many other venues where research and creative activity takes place. Students from all disciplines are invited to share their creative/artistic activities and research/scholarly works with other students as well as faculty, staff and other members of our campus community.

Presentation formats include posters, exhibition of visual art works, oral (paper) presentations, and performances.  Awards will be given for outstanding entries.

WiSys Quick Pitch
The optionalWiSys Technology Foundation ‘Quick Pitch’ competition is a chance for students to showcase their creative and entrepreneurial spirit by presenting their research findings and/or innovative ideas through a short ‘quick pitch’ to a panel of judges. Students will be encouraged to consider the impact of the research they are currently undertaking or other innovative ideas they may have and how such ideas or research findings could ultimately benefit the local economy or society. Students will be competing for a cash prize and the opportunity to have their research and/or innovative idea showcased at WiSys’ annual WSTS (Wisconsin Science & Technology Symposium), being held at UW-Platteville on July 24-25, 2017. The competition will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on April 27. If you are interested, please check the appropriate box on the Celebration of Scholarship and Creative Activity submission form.
